How do most plastic products obtain their customized colors? The answer is color masterbatches. Color masterbatches contain very specific pigment mixtures, which are blended in accordance with precise color requirements. After these pigment mixtures are created, they are injected into raw polymers. This injection process, which takes place during the product production stage, is what gives the product its specific color or hue.
Color masterbatches are very advanced. There isn’t a color in the color spectrum that can’t be engineered via a color masterbatch and implemented within a specific product. To do so, we select specific pigments and fuse them together by applying them to high temperatures in a carrier resin. That is how color masterbatch mixtures are created. Once the blends are prepared, they are broken down into granular pellets and delivered to our clients’ doorstep.
