Global Human Rights Policy
- PURPOSE AND BACKGROUND
- To set forth Tosaf Compounds LTD’s (“Tosaf” or the “Company”) commitment to respecting human rights throughout our global operations.
- This Policy establishes our minimum standards for the following fundamental aspects of human and labor rights: (a) Dignity and Respect (b) Safe and Healthy Workplace; (c) Workplace Security (d) Freely Chosen Employment (e) Child Labor Protections; (f) Fair Wages and Working Hours including freedom of association; (g) Equal Opportunity (h) Ethical Supply Chain .
- Tosaf is committed to respecting and upholding human rights in all aspects of our global operations. We believe that all people deserve to be treated with dignity, fairness, and respect. This policy outlines our commitment to these principles and our expectation that all employees, partners, and suppliers will adhere to them.
- To ensure the integrity of our efforts, Tosaf’s Human Rights Policy is guided by common principles found within the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights and Guiding Principles for Business and Human Rights, the International Labor Organization’s (“ILO”) Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work, and Tosaf’s Code of Conduct, Tosaf’s Supplier Code of Conduct, and other Company policies, procedures, and guidelines relating to this Policy.
- APPLICABILITY
This Policy applies to all Tosaf employees (including employees of subsidiaries and affiliates in which our Company has a controlling interest), officers, directors, and anyone acting on behalf of our Company. We expect our business partners, including our suppliers and contractors, to commit to upholding human and labor rights principles.
- Our Commitment And Responsibilities
Tosaf is committed to the following principles across its global business:
- Dignity and Respect: We will treat all individuals with respect and dignity, regardless of their background, culture, or beliefs. We have a zero-tolerance policy for harassment, discrimination, or any form of disrespectful behavior.
- Safe and Healthy Workplace: We provide a safe and healthy work environment for all our employees. This includes taking proactive measures to prevent workplace injuries, accidents, and exposure to hazards.
- Workplace Security: We promote the security of our workers and work environment and take proactive measures to ensure and maintain a workplace that is free from violence, intimidation, or other inappropriate conditions. When identifying a threat to human rights, we will strive to respond and take action against such threat, all in consistent with international standards and proportionally to the threat identified.
- Freely Chosen Employment: We strictly prohibit the use of forced, bonded, involuntary labor, exploitative, prison labor, slavery, or trafficking, in our operations and supply chains. Employment must be voluntary, and employees should be free to leave their employment upon reasonable notice.
We prohibit harsh or inhumane treatment towards all workers. We will not retain passports or other original employee’s documents unless required by law and will not restrict employee access to such documents. We do not ask for any refundable security deposit to be paid for employment purposes.
- Child Labor Protections. We prohibit child labor. For purposes of employment, we define “child” as anyone under sixteen years of age, unless national or local law stipulates a higher mandatory school leaving or minimum working age, in which case the higher age applies. We do not hire people under the applicable mandatory minimum.
- Fair Wages and Working Hours: We provide fair compensation and benefits that meet or exceed legal minimums and are sufficient to meet basic needs. We also adhere to legal limits on working hours and provide reasonable time for rest. We strive to comply with all applicable local laws or regulations regarding working hours and overtime. We strictly adhere to the working hours and rest restrictions provided by all applicable laws and and provide fair compensation for overtime and paid time off, sick and maternity leave.
We respect employees’ rights to organize, bargain collectively, and assemble peacefully, while also respecting their right to refrain from these activities. Employees can raise concerns with management free from fear of reprisal.

- Ethical Supply Chain: We expect our suppliers and business partners to hold the same commitment to human rights as we hold. We will work to identify, assess, and address human rights risks in our supply chain, and we reserve the right to terminate relationships with partners who do not meet our standards.
- Implementation and Accountability
- Training: Our employees are required to complete annual training on our Code of Conduct which includes many of the principles set forth in this Policy.
- Reporting: Any concerns regarding human rights matters or suspected violations of this Policy can be reported through our confidential channels and shall be investigated by the Company. No one will face retaliation for raising concerns in good faith.
