ANTI-BLOCK

BACKGROUND

PE , PP and other polymer films tend to stick to each other making it difficult to separate between different layers of film without causing rupture. This phenomenon is known as ‘blocking’. Antiblock additives are added to the skin layer and act as a physical separator between two adjacent layers. They also increase the film’s roughness which reduces the adhesion between the two layers.

TOSAF FRICTION MODIFIERS – ANTI-BLOCK

The quantity and type of anti-blocking agent incorporated into the film to solve this issue can affect transparency, or it can adsorb migrating agents, such as anti-static, slip, or anti-fog additives, decreasing their efficiency.

In over 30 years of working side by side with our customers, Tosaf has developed an innovative range of ANTI-BLOCK agents helping you avoid these issues.  Using our experience, know-how and synthetic silica (rather than the more commonly used crystalline natural), we can help you avoid these problems.

Sharing with you our know-how and years of expertise, we will advise on which ANTI-BLOCK additives to use, how to use them and in what quantities, to optimize them for both your production process and performance as well as the final end users application.
