At Tosaf Compounds we are fully aware of our Reach Responsibilities, whether these be passing the relevant information on to both our employees and customers or ensuring that all the substances we use are pre-registered and registered by the applicable deadlines.
Reach is the European Regulation for Registration, Evaluation, Authorization of Chemicals, which became effective on 1st June 2007.
This Regulation was designed to:
- Improve the protection to human health and the environment, minimizing significant adverse effects.
- Maintain competitiveness and stimulating innovation within the EU chemicals industry.
Reach applies to substances manufactured or imported into the EU in quantities of 1 ton or more per year. Generally, it applies to all individual chemical substances on their own, in preparations or in articles (if the substance is intended to be released during normal and reasonably foreseeable conditions of use from an article).
A Company located outside the European Union (EU) can appoint a legal person established in the EU to fulfill, as his only representative, the obligation on importers under Reach. Our EU based Company, Colloids Ltd., is acting as our only representative.
We supply the safety data sheet (SDS) for all our products to our customers.
